The VP21 is a simple single sensor solution to a wide variety of inertial analysis problems. Three solid state rate gyros are combined with three micro-machined silicon accelerometers to provide complete 6 degree of freedom measurement capability. The operating levels and frequencies have been chosen to encompass the ‘human response’ band thus making the VP21 especially suitable for the analysis of vehicle ride and handling. The VP21 can be connected directly to Lamerholm’s sophisticated signal analysis system, the RD230, to achieve a uniquely cost effective portable inertial measurement system.
